Sometimes love comes back
Sometimes when you show love, when you do loving acts, even towards unknown others, it can come back, shine back on you.
Watching the PBS NewsHour tonight, the Mayor of Tucson said that Rep. Gabrielle Giffords had worked to make sure the University Medical Center has a top-quality trauma center.
So for me, some of her love coming back to her is one bright spot in so much tragedy. Because mostly, sadly, Gabrielle Giffords shows how costly it can be to serve others, to love others.
“…interestingly enough, in the 2000-2003, she was a legislator and we worked on what we can do in Tucson to ensure that the University Medical Center had a very high-tech, functional, world-class trauma center. She was involved in that process back in 2003. And we have one of the best. And, as I looked down at her, I was reminded of how we worked together to provide the trauma center that is saving her life.
